As a meditation teacher, I enjoy guiding and teaching meditation, and supporting others on their path to developing and sustaining a daily practice. I would like to share some information about me and how my path led to a meditation lifestyle. Spirituality has always been a major part of my life, and so it is a natural “go-to” for me in my efforts take care of my overall wellbeing and have peace of mind. I am a mother, a wife, a business owner, a social worker, etc., etc. Most importantly, …I’m human. As a human, I realized my body, mind, and spirit needed more calm, more quiet, more stillness. I realized I needed to slow down and see me, love me, value me, and care for me.

As a helper in a helping profession, my ambition is to serve others. As many helpers know, when you are a natural helper it’s not uncommon to over serve others and under serve yourself. Take a moment, ask yourself, “How am I doing?” Do you like your answer? Do you know your answer? I’ve learned that sometimes we are so engulfed with everyone else and everything else that we aren’t even sure how we are doing. This is how I was led to meditation. Everything is moving so fast. We experienced and technically still are experiencing the effects of a global pandemic, we are in a state of war an unrest, there seems to be less time and more to do… and everything just sort of feels like it’s spinning.

I don’t know about you, but this is not my best or the best that my higher power has in mind for me. My desire is to access and hold on to the peace that my higher power has for me. Spirituality is available for us to access for our own peace of mind. We are spiritual beings living in a physical body and having a physical experience. This physical experience often distracts us from our spiritual self, which leaves our spiritual-self unfulfilled and off balance. Meditation is a place to ground yourself, step back, see you, look at things, prioritize your life’s true needs, develop a deeper relationship with yourself/spirit/the world around you, and heal.  Yes, heal. Our mind is more powerful than we realize. Our mind can be a place of great peace. It does not have to be chaotic and spinning. It’s actually not even healthy. Many of the ailments and health problems we experience start from and are exasperated by our stress level and lack of self-care.

Through meditation, I invite you on a new journey. You get to explore what that truly is for you and how you choose to walk through this journey. Through meditation, I’ve accessed peace like I have never been able to access before. I’ve grown closer to myself, my family, the world around me, and most importantly, closer to my higher power. I’ve learned to turn everything off, pull away from it all, and tune into myself. The rewards of meditation are boundless, and I’m excited to share them with you. My intention is to facilitate a calm and comforting environment for people seeking more peace and contentment in their lives through meditation.  Please take a moment to review my services. If you feel an inner nudge to contact me for meditational support, then I look forward to working with you. If your heart leads you elsewhere, I send loving vibes to you. Feel free to drop in for free information, resources, and future opportunities to connect.

Therapy

I believe in helping others change self defeating thoughts and destructive behavioral patterns, in order to aid them in living a life in which they can find happiness. I consider it a privilege to collaborate with people as they make those changes, and to help them navigate through the many challenges of life. I am a military veteran familiar with military culture and the common struggles that come with a military commitment.

I work with individuals, couples, and families and I particularly enjoy, and am skilled at working with people that struggle with many types of problems. Some of those problems include depression, anxiety, destructive behaviors, parenting issues, stress management, trauma, relationship issues, building self esteem, and grief and loss.

I am also experienced in using spiritual principles and faith based knowledge, but I will never impose my personal beliefs on anyone.

As a clinician, I desire that you feel heard and seen without judgment. You can feel free to fully vent your concerns, feel your feelings, face your feelings or even yourself. I look forward to seeing you on your journey to emotional wellness.
